WCAG 2.2 level AA
We can include the patient portal in your accessibility review. No WCAG 2.2 AA conformance assessment is claimed for it.
Set by W3C
What this is
WCAG 2.2 is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C. Level AA is a conformance level, assessed against a defined set of pages or journeys by testing against the criteria, including keyboard and assistive technology use. It is a technical standard, not a badge.
What is built
- Care provides a patient portal within its optional module scope.
- The portal is the identified product surface for an accessibility review.
- No completed WCAG 2.2 AA test report is claimed.
What a reviewer can inspect
A portal walkthrough can show which patient tasks and screens are in scope. It does not establish keyboard, screen reader, focus, contrast or error-handling conformance. Those behaviours need direct testing against the criteria with representative assistive technology.
Next steps for a conformance claim
- Choose the patient journeys that must be accessible.
- Agree the pages, devices and assistive technologies to test.
- Commission a scoped accessibility evaluation and agree the evidence format.
- Record gaps and remediation responsibilities separately from the product purchase.
Boundaries
An available portal is not proof of accessibility conformance, and the linked module identifies the review surface, not a passed assessment. Until a scoped evaluation exists, NextHealth makes no WCAG 2.2 AA conformance claim for the portal.

What we claim, precisely
The system holds the evidence; the facility's accountable person attests. Nothing here asserts that a facility is compliant.
Common questions
-
This page does not claim WCAG 2.2 AA conformance. Review the actual portal journeys against the applicable criteria before describing the portal as WCAG 2.2 AA conformant.
-
The patient journeys you choose, tested against the criteria with keyboard use and representative assistive technology, with the pages, devices and evidence format agreed first. Gaps and fixes are recorded separately.

Not yet. A statement with a contact route and remediation process needs to be agreed and published before it is linked here, and it will state the actual assessment status.
