Hospital information system for the UAE
We offer HIS and EMR software for UAE care teams, linking patient records, bills and the evidence your clinic or hospital needs to review its work.
Best fit in the UAE
Hospitals, clinics and healthcare groups licensed under DoH Abu Dhabi, DHA or MOHAP, where each facility works within its own licensing, claims and information-sharing requirements. A patient may book in Dubai, attend a specialist in Abu Dhabi and return to a clinic in Al Ain. The practical challenge is a clear clinical record, the bill and the evidence behind each decision.
NextHealth Technologies is the software division of Alpha Health Group, a healthcare operator based in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Its experience running facilities and consulting on accreditation informs how NextHealth approaches signed records, staff credentials, investigations and the work needed before an inspection.
Where things stand today for UAE facilities
- Hosting: UAE hosting is confirmed. NextHealth hosts UAE data in the UAE.
- Clinical exchange: Care supports Malaffi and NABIDH connectivity within the agreed interface scope, with acknowledgements available for review. Facility onboarding and activation still need review. Riayati activation needs specific confirmation.
- Claims: Care includes the documented UAE claims workflow, including DHPO/eClaimLink context. Shafafiya requirements, transaction scope, coding and facility setup are reviewed separately. A platform name on this page does not guarantee a live route, an accepted claim or payment.
- Security evidence: Access roles, two-factor sign-in and audit records provide evidence for security review, including an ADHICS discussion in Abu Dhabi. Your facility assesses the controls and approves its procedures.
- Incident and quality reporting: In Abu Dhabi, Flow sends each incident, maternal and perinatal death reports and the monthly zero report to the DoH incident reporting gateway, using the facility’s own credentials. JAWDA indicator calculations remain subject to completed, confirmed functionality.
- Interface language: The current product interface is English. An Arabic interface is not claimed.
The local workflow
DoH Abu Dhabi, DHA and MOHAP provide distinct regulatory contexts. Malaffi, NABIDH and Riayati concern clinical information exchange. DHPO/eClaimLink and Shafafiya concern different claims and reporting workflows. An accepted clinical message does not establish that an insurance claim has been accepted.
The UAE Health ICT Law sets specific conditions for health information, including restrictions on processing and storing it outside the country, subject to permitted exceptions.
Confirm before scoping
- Which emirate and regulator apply to each facility, and what type of facility is it?
- Which payers do you bill, and which claims route does each one use?
- Which clinical exchange do you need, and who activates it for your facility?
- Which coding variant and payer rules apply to your claims?
- Which JAWDA indicators, if any, does your facility need to report?
Where the products fit
NXH Care brings registration, appointments, clinical notes, prescribing and billing into the patient workflow. Care Clinics Pro adds laboratory, radiology and claims capability. Care Hospitals adds inpatient, nursing, emergency and theatre workflows. NXH Engage supports enquiry handling, booking, packages and patient relationships for private clinics. NXH Flow holds controlled documents, credential records, incidents, complaints and audit findings. NXH One connects their shared records when products are combined.
Flow Quality indicators is still being completed. Review its availability separately before a rollout depends on it.
Illustrative example: a patient visit to a claim
This example uses synthetic data. It shows the order of work, not a customer result or a live connection.
- Reception registers a synthetic patient, Layla Hassan, and books an outpatient appointment with a clinician.
- The clinician records vitals, allergies and a consultation note, then reviews and signs the record.
- Charges are raised from the visit, and the bill is split between insurer and patient.
- With Care Clinics Pro or Care Hospitals, the billing team prepares a claim from the visit record in the payer’s required format, with checks against payer rules and approvals.
- If the payer returns a rejection with a coded reason, the team follows it into a resubmission workflow.
Which claims route carries the claim, DHPO/eClaimLink or Shafafiya, and whether it is live for your facility, is confirmed in scoping.
A UAE demo agenda
- Walk one patient journey from registration to claim.
- Review one payer workflow against the claims route you use.
- Review one inspection requirement and the records that support it.
- Agree facility onboarding, migration, access and sign-off before go-live.
Bring three things to your UAE demo
A useful first conversation starts with your own work, not a feature list.

-
A payer or payment workflow
The claim, invoice or package your team handles most, and the response it needs.
-

Common questions
-
NXH Care covers clinical and billing workflows through clinic and hospital plans. Engage adds patient relationship workflows, and Flow adds operational evidence. Select the modules around your facility’s services; emergency, theatre and quality indicator availability require a separate review.
-
Care supports NABIDH and Malaffi connectivity within the agreed scope. Facility onboarding and activation still need review. Riayati connection status requires separate confirmation; a general health data exchange capability is not proof of a live connection.
-
UAE hosting is confirmed, alongside access controls and audit records. Those are inputs to an ADHICS assessment, not a complete compliance determination. Your team must review the applicable controls, deployment evidence and organisational procedures.
-
Care includes the documented UAE claims workflow, including DHPO/eClaimLink context. Review Shafafiya requirements, transaction scope, coding and facility setup separately. A platform name on this page does not guarantee a live route, accepted claim or payment.
-
No complete live JAWDA calculation or submission engine is claimed. Quality indicators is still being completed. Available audits and incident records can support quality review, but each indicator needs confirmed scope and validated output.
-
Yes. Care Clinics is the starting point for outpatient clinical and billing work. Care Clinics Pro adds laboratory, radiology and claims. Engage can address booking, packages and patient relationships where those are the immediate business priority.
