Joint Commission International
We support JCI preparation with controlled documents, clinical records, incidents and audit evidence, helping your facility show the work behind its policies and reviews.
Set by Joint Commission International
What this is
Joint Commission International (JCI) is an accreditation programme. A facility is accredited by JCI after assessment; buying or using software does not confer it. Standards, measurable elements and survey methods differ by programme and edition, and the facility agrees which apply with JCI.
What is built
- Flow Document hub retains versions, signatures and issue dates.
- Incident and complaint records retain investigation and action history.
- Clinical audits record findings and scores for supported audit types.
- Care laboratory and nursing records provide clinical evidence for review.
What a reviewer can inspect
A reviewer can inspect a controlled document alongside the incident, complaint or clinical audit record relevant to the practice being assessed. Nursing and laboratory records add clinical context where those modules are included. Engage Reviews is supplementary feedback, not proof of clinical conformity.
Illustrative example: one requirement followed through the records
This example uses synthetic data.
A facility picks a requirement about controlled clinical procedures. Its quality lead opens the current version of a synthetic hand hygiene procedure in the Document hub, with its signatures and issue date. She then opens a synthetic clinical audit result for one ward and an incident record that refers to the same practice. The facility’s accountable person decides whether the three records together show that practice matches the procedure, and records any action needed. The records support that judgement; they do not make it.
Boundaries
The facility chooses the JCI programme, edition, requirements and sampling approach. No JCI accreditation, endorsement or complete requirements mapping is claimed for the software, and Quality indicators is still being completed so it is not part of the available scope. Keep outstanding actions visible and assess whether practice matches the documented process.

What we claim, precisely
The system holds the evidence; the facility's accountable person attests. Nothing here asserts that a facility is compliant.
Common questions
-
No. NextHealth holds records that can support preparation and review. Accreditation depends on the facility, its practices and the assessment process, not on purchasing the software.
-
No. No complete mapping to a JCI edition is claimed. Your facility selects the programme and edition, then reviews which of its records can support each requirement it chooses.
-
Your facility’s accountable person reviews and attests to the evidence. The software holds the described records; it does not replace professional judgement or the relevant assessment and approval process.
