ICD-10 coding and ICD-11 availability
We support ICD-10 lookup in Care clinical and claims workflows, while ICD-11 remains unconfirmed and must be reviewed separately before it is included in your scope.
Set by World Health Organization
Subject type: terminology. ICD is the World Health Organization’s classification of diseases. This page states what Care supports and the current status of each edition.
What is built
- Care provides ICD-10 lookup by name or number.
- Clinical documentation and claims provide the linked coding context.
- UAE claims declare diagnoses as ICD-10-CM.
- ICD-11 availability is not confirmed.
Variant, release and updates
The release loaded in Care, how updates are governed and any other national variant your facility must use are confirmed during implementation. This page states no release. Align the variant with what your payers and regulator expect in your country.
ICD-11 status
ICD-11 availability is not confirmed. Naming it here does not mean it is implemented. If your market needs ICD-11, raise it as a requirement for assessment before it enters your scope. No ICD-11 implementation, automatic coding or denial prediction is claimed.
Illustrative example: from a diagnosis to a claim
This example uses synthetic data. A clinician records a consultation for a synthetic patient, Reem Haddad, looks up a diagnosis by name and selects the ICD-10 code. The claim carries the code as a diagnosis. The professional decides whether the record supports the selection. A reviewer can open the note, the selected code and the claim together.
Official source

What we claim, precisely
The system holds the evidence; the facility's accountable person attests. Nothing here asserts that a facility is compliant.
Common questions
-
ICD-11 availability has not been confirmed. The supported claim on this page is ICD-10 lookup; any ICD-11 requirement needs separate product confirmation and an agreed implementation scope.
-
UAE claims declare diagnoses as ICD-10-CM. Confirm the variant and release that your payers and regulator expect, because they are agreed during implementation.
-
The clinician or coding professional decides whether the record supports a code. Care provides lookup and keeps the selection with the note and the claim. It does not suggest or assign codes.
