Department of Health Abu Dhabi
We support DoH reviews with incident, audit, patient feedback and pharmacy records, and Flow sends incidents to the DoH incident reporting gateway. Your facility remains responsible for how each incident is classified.

Subject type: regulatory authority. The Department of Health, Abu Dhabi regulates healthcare in the emirate. This page covers a bounded scope: incident and review records in Flow, regulatory audit records, patient experience records and pharmacy stock evidence in Care. Other DoH programmes, including JAWDA indicators and Malaffi, have their own pages.
What is built
- Flow records incident investigations, harm details and corrective actions.
- Flow sends each incident, maternal and perinatal death reports and the monthly zero report to the DoH incident reporting gateway.
- Regulatory audits retain findings, photographs and responsible actions.
- Patient experience captures survey responses and improvement work.
- Care Pharmacy and stock provides medicine stock evidence.
Report and facility scope
Flow is built to the Abu Dhabi incident reporting requirements, with a DoH level of harm, a sentinel event flag, the national maternal death review and the perinatal review. Each incident is sent to DoH through its incident reporting gateway when it is reported, and maternal and perinatal death reports and the monthly zero report go the same way. Every submission keeps the report sent and the response returned, and a failed one can be corrected and resubmitted. Your facility decides how each incident is classified and remains responsible for each submission.
Illustrative example: an incident and the monthly report
This example uses synthetic data. A synthetic incident is recorded with a DoH level of harm and a sentinel flag, investigated and closed with corrective actions. The investigation history stays with the record for a reviewer. The incident is sent to DoH when it is reported, and its submission shows as submitted. At the end of a month in which the facility recorded no maternal deaths, the zero report for that domain is filed through the same gateway. Your accountable person stays responsible for what is recorded and reported.
Not covered here
Patient experience surveys and incident workflows do not establish that JAWDA indicator calculations are available. JAWDA is addressed separately and is still being completed. No blanket DoH compliance is claimed. Each report needs its own scope and evidence review.

What we claim, precisely
The system holds the evidence; the facility's accountable person attests. Nothing here asserts that a facility is compliant.

Your facility’s accountable person. Flow sends each incident as it is reported and files the monthly zero report, but your team decides how each incident is classified and checks the records.
