Best fit in Malaysia

A private hospital or clinic group in Malaysia that needs to explain the care delivered and the charges associated with it, with consistent appointments, clinical records and patient relationships across its selected services. A useful system starts with reliable documentation and a billing workflow the team can review.

Today’s operating needs and where things stand

  • Can be reviewed now: Care appointments, notes, prescribing and billing. Clinics Pro adds laboratory, radiology and claims records. Engage booking, packages, memberships and consent preferences within its campaign workflow. Flow controlled documents, policy approvals, staff credentials, incidents, complaints and risk actions.
  • Not claimed: A Malaysian DRG grouper or tariff engine, a MediAsas connection, a universal insurer adapter, MSQH accreditation and a complete MSQH standards mapping.
  • Hosting: Hosting and transfer arrangements are agreed during implementation, using an in-country cloud region wherever regulation requires it. A pre-provisioned Malaysian environment is not claimed.
  • Interface language: The current product interface is English. A Bahasa Malaysia interface is not claimed.

The local workflow

Malaysia’s Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998, Act 586, provides the private-facility licensing framework. The Ministry of Health’s medical practice function oversees its implementation. Your facility’s services and licence scope shape the records and responsibilities reviewed during implementation.

Malaysia’s PDPA, as amended, and the Commissioner’s guidance on data protection officers and breach notification belong in the deployment assessment. Access controls and audit records support that work. They do not automatically perform notifications, fulfil rights requests or determine the legal basis for every use of patient information.

Confirm before scoping

  • Which coding configuration and payer outputs do you need?
  • Which insurer or self-pay billing outputs does your team produce?
  • Which reporting, hosting, support access and migration scope applies?
  • Who in your team will evaluate the clinical, billing and IT workflow?

Where the products fit

Care Clinics supports outpatient appointments, notes, prescribing and billing. Care Hospitals adds inpatient and nursing work. Engage and Flow support patient relationships and the evidence your team reviews.

Flow Quality indicators is still being completed. Review its availability separately before a rollout depends on it.

Review a clinical episode and its bill

Bring one patient journey and a representative insurer or self-pay bill. We will start with the available workflows and explicitly review any dependency on national programmes or future payment arrangements.

Payment reform context, dated

This section describes context, not a capability. The government’s RESET and MediAsas work, as described in the Ministry of Finance source linked under the regulatory references and checked on 11 October 2026, includes a phased move towards diagnosis-related group approaches in private healthcare. This makes consistent diagnosis, service and billing information a useful starting point. It does not establish that a particular DRG tariff is mandatory for every provider or that Care includes a Malaysian grouper. Check the current official position before relying on it.

Bring three things to your Malaysia demo

A useful first conversation starts with your own work, not a feature list.

Book a demo
  1. A patient encounter

One representative visit, from registration to the signed clinical record.

  2. A payer or payment workflow

The claim, invoice or package your team handles most, and the response it needs.

  3. An evidence question

One licensing, quality or inspection requirement you need to be able to show.

Common questions

  • Care supports clinical and billing workflows through clinic and hospital plans. Engage adds patient relationship workflows and Flow adds operational evidence. Local coding, payer outputs, hosting and implementation responsibilities need review for the proposed project.

  • A Malaysian DRG grouper or tariff engine is not confirmed. Care provides structured clinical and billing records; demonstrate the required casemix calculation and output before treating it as an included capability.

  • No MediAsas connection or universal insurer adapter is claimed. Review the required payer process and output independently. A national reform programme does not establish that a software product has completed onboarding.

  • Roles, permissions, two-factor sign-in, audit records and campaign consent preferences provide selected evidence. Your organisation must review applicable obligations, contracts and procedures; automatic breach notification or complete rights-request handling is not claimed.

  • No. Flow holds selected documents, policy approvals, credentials and investigation records for your team to review. Accreditation depends on the facility and assessment process, and a complete MSQH requirements mapping is not claimed.

  • Hosting and transfer arrangements are agreed during implementation, using an in-country cloud region wherever regulation requires it. The current interface is English; a Bahasa Malaysia interface and a pre-provisioned Malaysian environment are not claimed.
