NextHealth Engage

Part of the Campaigns and retention add-on

NXH Engage campaigns helps the clinic message clients using the service or package context already recorded. Teams select audiences by services received or packages held, then send a campaign now or schedule it for later. Consent is checked when the audience is built and again at send time, so opted-out clients are skipped. Each campaign records who was sent, skipped, delivered, read or replied, while leads and conversions are reviewed against the recorded source of each enquiry.

What your team can do

  • Select campaign audiences using the services clients received.
  • Build audiences around the packages clients already hold.
  • Send a campaign now or schedule it to send later.
  • Choose WhatsApp with an approved template, email or SMS, depending on the channels the clinic has connected.
  • Skip any client without marketing consent for the channel, or who has opted out, when the audience is built and again when sending.
  • Review sent, skipped, delivered, read and replied status for each campaign.
Why it is hard to do well

Relevant communication starts with the client’s actual service context.

Give your next campaign a clear audience and purpose

A clinic campaign is more useful when the message reflects the client relationship. Someone who received a particular service may need different communication from someone holding a treatment package. The team needs an audience that matches the purpose of the message and a record of what happened to each send.

Channels and what each needs

  • WhatsApp: needs the clinic’s own WhatsApp Business account connected through the Meta Cloud API, and a message template approved by WhatsApp. Delivery, read and reply status come back from WhatsApp.
  • Email: needs the clinic’s own mail server settings and an email template written in Engage.
  • SMS: needs an SMS gateway with a simple web interface, and the message text is entered with the campaign. Engage does not receive SMS replies, so an SMS opt-out depends on the clinic recording it.

A channel that is not connected sends nothing. Those recipients are shown as skipped, never as sent.

How a suppressed contact is excluded

The audience contains only clients whose latest marketing consent for the channel is granted, who are not marked do not contact and who are not archived. Consent is checked again for each message at send time, so a client who opts out after the audience was built is recorded as skipped with the reason. On WhatsApp, a reply such as STOP revokes the client’s consents and marks them do not contact.

Illustrative example: a suppressed contact

This example uses synthetic data.

A clinic builds a WhatsApp campaign for clients who had a facial. Sara Ahmed, a made-up client, had a facial but replied STOP to an earlier message, so she is not in the audience. Faris Nasser, who has granted marketing consent, is. If Faris withdrew consent after the audience was built, the send step would record him as skipped instead of messaging him.

Leads and conversions

Engage does not count a lead from the message itself. Attribution uses the campaign code or tags recorded on an enquiry, entered by a person or carried by a web form, and the stages the enquiry reaches, such as booked or purchased. The figures therefore reflect what was recorded. Recall rules are outside this module.

Common questions

  • Campaigns is part of the Campaigns and retention add-on for NXH Engage. It is selected alongside Engage core rather than included automatically in the core licence.

  • Audiences can be selected by services received or packages held, allowing the team to align the campaign with information already recorded about the client relationship.

  • Yes. Campaigns can be sent now or scheduled for later. The team can review timing alongside the selected audience and recorded consent preferences.

  • No. Automated recall rules are excluded from the verified product scope. This page covers targeted campaigns, scheduling, consent preferences and recorded leads and conversions.

  • WhatsApp with a template approved by WhatsApp, email and SMS. Each needs the clinic’s own connection: a WhatsApp Business account through the Meta Cloud API, mail server settings, or an SMS gateway with a simple web interface. A channel that is not connected sends nothing, and the recipients are shown as skipped.

  • The audience includes only clients whose latest marketing consent for the channel is granted and who are not marked do not contact. Consent is checked again at send time, and anyone who has opted out since is recorded as skipped with the reason.

  • From the source recorded on each enquiry, such as a campaign code or tag, and the stage the enquiry reaches. A message alone does not create a lead, so the figures show what the team and forms recorded.
