Hospital information system in Egypt

We invite care teams in Egypt to review HIS software, with payer and quality needs assessed before we agree a proposed rollout for each site.

Best fit in Egypt

A private hospital or clinic in Egypt considering a new payer relationship, which needs more than a billing screen. It must be able to explain the care delivered, the services recorded and the evidence behind its operating procedures. Choose the facility segment first: a private hospital, an outpatient clinic or a group. Then settle the payer and deployment questions.

Facility segment, payer and deployment questions

  • Payer: UHIA publishes contracting procedures that refer to registration or accreditation with GAHAR. No live UHIA claims connection is confirmed.
  • Accreditation context: GAHAR is context only: a verified product mapping is not available. Flow holds selected records the facility can assess against its requirements.
  • Data permissions: No data-processing permission or licence is obtained by buying the product. Your organisation assesses the applicable PDPC requirements.
  • Hosting: Hosting and access requirements are assessed before rollout. No local environment is stated as provisioned.
  • Interface language: The current product interface is English. An Arabic interface is not claimed.

The local workflow

Egypt’s Universal Health Insurance Authority publishes contracting procedures. The applicable route and current conditions must be checked for the provider and service. A software purchase does not grant eligibility to contract with UHIA.

GAHAR maintains healthcare accreditation programmes, while the Personal Data Protection Center oversees the framework under Law 151/2020. Assess the relevant data-processing permissions, contracts and responsibilities before implementation. No automatic UHIA submission, GAHAR approval or privacy licence is claimed for NextHealth.

Confirm before scoping

  • Which facility segment is the first priority, and which services?
  • Which payers and UHIA arrangements apply?
  • Which local coding, tariff and payer output are required?
  • Which Arabic, hosting and migration arrangements apply, and which permissions are needed?

Where the products fit

Care provides a clinical and billing record for examining a representative episode. Flow holds policy approvals, credentials, incidents, complaints and risk actions. Engage supports booking, packages and patient relationships for private outpatient services. Care Clinics supports outpatient records and billing, Care Clinics Pro adds laboratory, radiology and claims, and Care Hospitals adds inpatient, nursing, emergency and theatre workflows.

Flow Quality indicators is still being completed. Review its availability separately before a rollout depends on it.

A feasibility discussion

Bring a patient episode, the proposed payer requirements and a quality review topic. We will discuss feasibility for any local requirement that is not yet confirmed.

Bring three things to your Egypt demo

A useful first conversation starts with your own work, not a feature list.

Book a demo
  1. A patient encounter

One representative visit, from registration to the signed clinical record.

  2. A payer or payment workflow

The claim, invoice or package your team handles most, and the response it needs.

  3. An evidence question

One licensing, quality or inspection requirement you need to be able to show.

Common questions

  • No. UHIA contracting and GAHAR registration or accreditation involve facility-specific conditions and assessment. Care and Flow provide records for review; purchasing the software does not establish contracting eligibility.

  • No verified complete GAHAR mapping is available. Flow holds selected policies, credentials, investigations and actions that the facility can assess against its requirements without implying accreditation or a dedicated GAHAR engine.

  • A live UHIA claims connection is not confirmed. Review the required clinical, coding and financial output, receiving specification and test evidence before including national claims submission in the implementation scope.

  • No permission or licence is obtained merely by buying the product. Your organisation must assess the applicable PDPC requirements and processing arrangements, with technical and contractual evidence reviewed before implementation.

  • Agree the actual hosting region, backups and support access before implementation. NextHealth uses an in-country cloud region wherever regulation requires it; this page does not assert that a local environment is already provisioned.
