Reports & Operational Insights
See the numbers behind your daily operations
NextHealth CareReports included in all plans; specialist metrics depend on the relevant modules and recorded data.
NXH Care reports give facility and group managers a view of operational activity. The facility overview covers appointments, consultations, collections, outstanding amounts and average wait for a chosen date range. The group overview sets branches side by side. The access and audit report shows cross-facility access and audit activity, and the NCD worklist lists patients overdue for review. The reports describe recorded activity, and interpreting it and deciding what to do remain with the people running the service.

What your team can do
- Review appointments, consultations started, collections and average wait in the facility overview.
- See the ten doctors with the most encounters in the chosen range.
- Compare branches and laboratory turnaround in the group overview.
- Review cross-facility access, audit activity and multi-factor enrolment.
- Work through patients overdue for chronic condition review and export a call list.
- Read waiting time by stage, doctor and department.
Give the operating discussion a clear starting point
Managers need to see what is happening before they decide what to investigate. Appointments, waiting times, collections and outstanding amounts describe different parts of the operation, and no single number explains a problem.
What each report counts
- Facility overview. For a date range that opens on the last 30 days: appointments, with cancelled ones excluded, and consultations started; the ten doctors with the most encounters; net collections by payment date; the average total wait of patients seen; and bed occupancy. Outstanding is the balance on bills that are not draft or cancelled today, so it is a snapshot and not a figure for the range.
- Group overview. The same measures side by side for each branch, with laboratory turnaround, top referred doctors and top services.
- Access and audit report. Cross-facility access events with who, where, module and stated reason, audit activity by type, days with no audit activity, and multi-factor sign-in enrolment.
- NCD worklist. Patients with a monitored chronic condition, with their last review, recall interval and whether the review is overdue. It exports a call list as a CSV file, and Care does not message the patients itself.
The waiting time report separates each wait by stage, doctor and department. See Outpatient Management for how each wait is measured.
What a manager can do with it
Each report is a starting point. A high average wait sends the manager to the waiting time report to see whether the delay sits at triage, with the doctor or at checkout. A branch with fewer appointments than its neighbours prompts a review of its doctors’ schedules. An overdue NCD patient becomes a recall call. Interpreting the numbers and deciding what to do remain with the people running the service.
Operational reporting, not quality indicators
These are operational reports built from activity recorded in Care. They are separate from regulatory quality-indicator reporting, which this page does not cover. See the JAWDA quality programme for how that programme relates to the product.
Illustrative example: a monthly facility overview
This example uses synthetic data. A practice manager at a made-up clinic sets the facility overview to the previous month. The average wait looks longer than she expects, so she opens the waiting time report for the same dates and filters by department. The delay sits in the doctor wait for one department, and she raises it with that department’s lead. She also exports the NCD worklist and passes the overdue patients to the recall team.

-
It shows appointments, waiting times, encounters by doctor, collections and outstanding amounts. These provide a starting point for your team’s operational review.
-
Yes. The group overview compares branches on appointments, encounters, collections, outstanding amounts and average wait, and adds laboratory turnaround. The access and audit report covers cross-facility access and audit activity. Review these against your group’s management questions.
-
It lists patients with a monitored chronic condition and shows whether their review is overdue. It can export a call list as a CSV file. Care does not message patients automatically, and this page does not claim regulatory indicator submission.
-
Facility figures use a date range that opens on the last 30 days. Appointments exclude cancelled ones, collections are net of refunds by payment date, and outstanding is the current balance on bills that are not draft or cancelled. Average wait covers patients seen in the range.
