Dental Practice Management

Keep dental care connected to the whole patient

NextHealth Care

Available as an add-on to any Care plan.

NXH Care dental tools bring charting and treatment planning into the shared patient record. The dental workspace has a tooth chart, a full-mouth periodontal chart, annotated diagrams and phased treatment plans with estimated fees. Dentists see allergies and medical history beside the chart without leaving the shared patient record. Completed treatment becomes a charge line that carries its tooth and surface, so findings, planning, scheduling and billing follow one account of the patient’s dental care.

Connect the dental chart with the treatment plan

  1. Step 1

    Review history

    Open allergies and medical history

  2. Step 2

    Chart findings

    Record tooth and periodontal findings

  3. Step 3

    Annotate

Mark up diagrams for the visit

  4. Step 4

    Plan care

Build the phased treatment plan with fees

  5. Step 5

    Arrange visits

    Book treatment items or phases

  6. Step 6

    Bill treatment

Completed work reaches the bill with tooth and surface

What your team can do

  • Record findings per tooth and surface in the chart.
  • Use a full-mouth periodontal chart within the dental workspace.
  • Annotate dental diagrams and save them with the visit.
  • Review allergies and medical history alongside the dental record.
  • Build treatment plans in phases, with an estimated fee for each coded item and a total for each phase.
  • Book treatment items or phases into the appointment workflow.
  • Carry the tooth and surface of completed treatment onto the charge line.

Plan dental treatment in phases and follow it to the bill

Dental work is planned across several visits. A treatment plan groups items into phases. Each coded item takes an estimated fee from the facility’s service catalogue where a price exists, and the plan shows a total for each phase. An item or a whole phase can be booked into the appointment workflow, with repeat sessions spaced at the interval the dentist sets.

How dental fits your Care plan

Dental is an add-on that can be added to any Care plan. It is not included in Care Clinics, Care Clinics Pro or Care Hospitals as standard. The chart sits inside the shared patient record, so registration, scheduling, clinical notes and billing come from the Care plan you choose.

Illustrative example: a phased plan and its billing handover

This example uses synthetic data.

A synthetic patient, Omar Sample, has a cavity charted on tooth 36 in FDI notation, a periodontal chart with recorded measurements and an allergy on file. The dentist builds a plan with phase 1, restoration, and phase 2, periodontal therapy. Each coded item shows an estimated fee and each phase shows its total. Phase 1 is booked into the appointment workflow. When the filling is recorded as completed on the chart, it becomes a procedure with its tooth and surface, and the draft bill composes a charge line that carries them.
